I apologize, but it's a tad difficult to write one of these without sounding like a raving lunatic. To start with, I grew up in major cities, but rusticated back to the family farm upon diagnosis of a chronic condition (nothing fatal; not made of glass). I've enjoyed the quieter aspects of bucolic life, however, I would be remiss not to mention that many of the local customs and social practices are still a bit foreign to me. I love reading--I have a good collection of leatherbound classics--and I'm also quite guilty of getting hooked on Netflix streams for hours on end (but I don't really watch TV... ever). To be honest, I have a superb education that I find to be quite useless in regards to meeting people--not a ton of particle physicists in the area--but I don't try to beat a dead horse with that sort of discourse. I'm really still just an average guy who has been working on humility the past few years, and frankly, I'm quite scared of conversations that delve into politics, religion or unimaginative topics. Labels aren't very comfortable for me. What I'm looking for is simply someone I'd consider to be good company--pleasant aesthetics; interested in learning; loving and in decent shape.
