I'm a retired professor in healthcare administration. I live on a mountain on the shores of a large lake. I live in a beautiful chalet-style home with extensive gardens. I looked for the perfect home for years. My home is an important part of my life. I love to photograph nature: trees, birds, plants. I also enjoy editing entertaining and humorous videos for my friends and family. I am, out of necessity, adopting gardening as a hobby. I party with friends on occasions, but I treasure my privacy most of the time. I love to cook, but, to be honest, I can't get motivated to cook sophisticated dishes for one. I normally have at least one dog. All of my dogs are rescues. I would like to find a way to adopt more dogs in the future.I'm a typical eldest child. I'm overly responsible. Though my children are grown, I was/am a great father. I guess my paternal side shows; it seems all children want to play with me. Dogs seem to feel the same way as the children. I had to give up my beloved beer due to a medication I must take. I can still party though. Coke Zero is now my drug of choice. I work out several times per week, and I eat healthy food almost all the time.My favorite popular musicians are Sara MacLaughlin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jim White, Allison Krauss, John Prine, James Taylor, Adele, LeAnn Rimes, Nickle Creek and so on.I'm very happy the way I am. I'm very comfortable in my own company. I'm looking for someone with which I can enjoy the third half of my life someone who can appreciate my quirky sense of humor and who brings peace and security to the relationship.
