I'm totally new to this whole on-line dating thing and am slowly getting back into dating after a 14.5 year relationship. I haven't decided if this is the right venue for me, but I personally know a couple success stories, and they encouraged me to try it and see what happens. So, here I am.About me: I'm a silly goofball with an often twisted sense of humor. I love to laugh and I can almost always find a way to make the best of just about any situation. I'm also an open, honest, stable, down to earth, independent, self sufficient person. My day job rocks. I worked really hard to work up to a professional level postion in the public sector - great team mates, fun and interesting work, pay is decent, and I get benifits. My side business fuels my creativity and allows me to connect with some amazing and inspiring people and will hopefully become my primary focuse when I retire (hopefully early) from my private sector postion. I'm currently working towards earning a second professional credential in another field to round out my side business. A few more random facts about me:**I've been dancing and performing since I was 9 years old and continue to do so today at local events when I'm not at my day job.**For the first half of my childhood, I grew up in a blue collar, rural household playing in the dirt with my brother and male cousins (Tonka trucks, quads, building forts, climbing trees...), so I'm not much of a girlie girl, unless I'm dressing up for a special someone or performing dance at local events with my best friend, in which case, bring on the sparkle and make up! **For the second half of my childhood/teens I lived in a doctor's household in Seattle, backpacking, traveling, going the Ashland Shakespeare Festival every year, and attending a somewhat experimental private school. This provided me with a broader perspective and appreciation for the arts and culture. **I have thick, waist length, naturally curly hair and it totally has a mind of its own. **I have dimples that make me look far more innocent than I really am.**I have quite a few tattoos (most of my upper back is done) with more on the way. They are usually hidden, and I guess I don't look like the tattoo 'type' because people are always surprised I have them (I blame those darn cherubic dimples). **I heat my home with a wood-stove but can't cut kindling to save my life so I compensate by using a propane blow torch to light it. ;)**I cook mostly with cast iron and take great pride in maintaining 'the perfect seasoning' so even eggs don't stick to it. **I have very eclectic tastes in music and probably have at least something from every genre on my computer.I know there are a lot more things I could write, but this is beginning to feel like a cover letter for a job application! So, I might as well save some stuff up for the interviews, um, I mean conversations. ;) I can say I'm interested in freindships as well as meeting a potential special someone.
