I'm not a Bar Fly (don't drink alcohol); not apposed to it in moderation but had my days doing that and now I prefer staying in and cooking a meal and good conversation BUT I have a hard time meeting anyone. I'm not sure if it's me or the town where I live....I need to broaden my horizons? That's what brought me here to POF.Anyway...I love the outdoors and just about anything and everything there is to do in it; I like going to coffee shops and talking, walking the coastline....I'm considering moving to Portland because the things I like to do (like DANCE) well....it's getting a little old dancing around my apartment if you know what I mean. I like all kinds of music except really cheesy country music. As an aside I write song lyrics (another thing in the works.)I'm ambitious to the extent that I live by the adage 'work hard/play hard' and am involved in a company of my own as well as writing a book and various other "streams of income" which I will talk about once I know you better.I've lived all over the US and in Vancouver Canada for a time so I've been lucky to experience beautiful places. Family brought me here and I really do love it but it's a little lonely, I will be honest. I'm a people-loving person by nature and I have a degree in massage therapy too (!)I can be shy but I also can be extremely funny if you get me going!!! My sense of humor has made many a call-center employee bust a gut (I often practice on them) If I could only get the IRS personnel to laugh. They have no sense of humor, those IRS people. I don't know why they won't lighten up. Some of my favorite adages are "there isn't a pocket in your shroud" and "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" but those are sorta morose but then again it's 5:45 am right now...I'm barely awake. Trust me....I will make you laugh. But those things are true and I do have a very spiritual side as I have had many close calls with almost certain death and made it through. I can do the intellectual thing but I try and save that for work....but I can hold my own there most of the time :)Myer's Briggs Type= INFJ if you know what that means and very much a Leo!
