I am a wanderlust world traveler extraordinaire, horribe at Jenga, and proud poutine-eating Canadian.I have been extremely fortunate to experience a lot of what the world has to offer; whether it is visiting Syria on vacation, hiking Machu Picchu during a solstice, or spending two weeks on an island nation with a population of less than fifty. I will hit my 160th country and final continent this year. Where would you like to go?Some of my free time is spent volunteering at a local animal rescue, helping with a film festival that promotes independent documentary filmmakers, and teaching curling (yes, the thing with brooms on ice!). I am always up for taking in a Rangers or Stars game, a day antique shopping, checking out a new community theatre production, or a random road trip to find the best Tex-Mex food in the state.Currently I work in the travel industry and could not be happier! I moved to Texas from Massachusetts six years ago after completing my master's degree in public policy. As an undergrad I studied international relations and linguistics of Middle Eastern languages. I promise my academic background is more exciting than it sounds!Texas has been one of the most interesting places I have lived. I am still adjusting to the culture. The first time a Texan told me they were "fixin to", I asked what broke.Between college and graduate school I worked in Central America for a large intergovernmental organization. My rudimentary knowledge of Spanish made for a few funny stories. Sapere aude!Testimonials:"John is one heck of a guy! I highly suggest you send him a message!
