I am. Mostly. My most defining trait is my love of the discovery that is inherent to life. Exploring the intricacies of new people through conversation, analyzing the hidden depths of a great book, or finding what really make a city unique are all exceptionally awesome.I want that to continue essentially forever and I want people around me who share a similar passion for it.I spend most of my time on my graduate studies at UCF. I am halfway through getting a Master's degree in Data Mining. Once done, I want to crunch massive amounts of data into useful/valuable information for organizations that advance liberal causes. When I am not doing that I like to chill about town, visiting art festivals, checking out new eateries and bars, cycling, and just enjoying the beauty that Orlando has to offer. Also: hilarious internet videos. Lots of hilarious internet videos.I have an equal appreciation for fiction and non-fiction and flit between them based on personal fancy, recommendations, and what catches my interest on various web sites I peruse.I love film, with an equal appreciation for art/indie films and the best of the big blockbusters. I tend to go to the movie theater a lot, and love both the actual act of viewing and the interesting discussions that can come after the viewing occurs. I also host a movie night at my apartment every month.I do not watch a ton of TV but have been keeping up with both Community and Sleepy Hollow. In the past I have enjoyed Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Lost, and Misfits, and Mad Men.My musical tastes tend towards indie rock, but there are usually a scattering of pop songs each year that stand out enough to me that I decide they must be mine.I am a pescatarian (I do not eat meat besides fish), but beyond that I greatly enjoy checking out new recipes and restaurants. I recently got a food processor and am planning on learning to make all sorts of new soups this year. Tasty, tasty soups.
