I am an easy-going, fun-loving guy. Kind, caring and genuine, with a good sense of humor.I grew up in New York, and I moved out to California years ago to pursue my career. I'm a journalist/editor and web designer. I like to write, design, create. I also like to build stuff with my hands. I've written a few books for children and young adults.Sports are an essential part of my life. I coach a high school women varsity basketball team in the East Bay. The season is almost over. I play squash and practice yoga regularly. I'm a former tennis coach, so I mix in tennis — and occasionally golf and skiing — when I can.I also love to travel but haven’t been able to get away like I once could. I hope that will change soon.Most recent trips were to Vietnam and Japan. I enjoy exploring the California coast. Some of my favorite cities are Vancouver, B.C., Hong Kong, Kyoto and Ho Chi Minh City. I hope to spend more time in Europe — maybe Greece, Italy and Spain. My favorite place to chill is the north shore of Kauai. Maybe you'd like to join me...I've been separated for more than a year and half. I feel like I'm starting life's "second act," and the first thing I'm doing is downsizing, simplifying and streamlining.I'm trying to be a good dad to my teenage daughter, grabbing precious time with her before she heads off to college. I'm making an effort to have more fun myself — going to hear live music, exploring the East Bay food scene — rediscovering what brings me joy. Looking for someone to explore with and share that joy.I got a new place recently and just finished a complete remodel of my kitchen this fall. I'm enjoying creating meals for family and friends.I enjoy all kinds of music: Jake Shimabukuro, Jack Johnson, Grateful Dead, U2, Rolling Stones, Iz Kamakawiwo’ole are just a few that come to mind at the moment. TV shows I like: House of Cards, House of Lies, Hawaii Five-O. I also enjoy watching the Warriors whenever possible, live or on TV.
