I have done a lot of hard introspective work, and I have learned a lot about myself. I try not to take myself too seriously. I try to look past people's faults to find out what we have in common. I am caring and compassionate. My upbringing has made me very empathetic. I am not mean-spirited and I think I am a good listener. Though our society does not, I believe that humility is a virtue, not a weakness, and I strive for that quality, though I may never fully attain it. I enjoy the finer things as much as most, but I try not to derive satisfaction from worldly things. I have found that, for myself, happiness must come from within and cannot be attained from external sources. I would love to meet someone who truly understands this and believes the same way. I am employed as a Technical Professional (engineer), but I think of myself as a working class guy. I am responsible with my money and not loaded down with debt. I would love to travel to distant places with you, but we'd have to pool our resources to get there. I hope you'd be OK with that. I wish I were independently wealthy, but sadly, my Lotto numbers haven't come in yet,(Smile). I try to think for myself, and I don't let screaming radio talk-show hosts or TV pundits do my thinking for me. I'm looking for someone who is compatible, not perfect. I would like to be with someone who is confident in themselves, but able to be vulnerable and communicate her feelings honestly. Honesty and openness are the keys to a successful relationship. I'm comfortable with who I am, and I'm looking for someone who is comfortable with who she is as well. I work real hard to stay physically fit, and I want to be with someone who does the same. I'm not "shredded" by any means, but I'm in real good shape. I would like to meet someone who has done the hard introspective work, and has taken ownership of her faults in order to grow from them. I want to learn about all your strange little quirkiness, it is what makes you unique. I'd like to be with a woman who expects a guy to treat her like a real lady - as you should. Someone who likes to have the car door opened, the door held, her coat held for her, and so forth. I like little things like a soft touch, or a little whisper or other small show of affection. I am a romantic and a passionate lover, and I hope you are too (after we've had a chance to get to know each other real well of course). I am looking for a lasting relationship that will grow from friendship. I am not interested in a short-term fling. Here is my deal-breaker - No active addictions of any kind, you need to be living life on life's terms.
