I am a happy optimist. I have a wonderful life, good friends, children and grandchildren that I love dearly. I have been widowed for 4 years and really miss talking with a man who is interested in my day and I in his. I am an artist who works in clay and paints, etc. My job as a computer consultant is somewhat creative and I work with customers from all over the world. I teach ceramic workshops in animal and portrait sculpture also. I have built a passive solar, earth sheltered home with a lovely garage/studio for my crafts and to host workshops.I enjoy traveling - near or far. I love the beach, the mountains, touring the 50 states by plane, train or automobile. I have been to Italy and would love to visit other places in Europe someday. I love flea markets, estate sales, auctions, old towns, drives through the country looking at old farms, barns, stores, etc. The work is so interesting and beautiful I want to see as much of it as possible.I like hiking (not for speed) and camping. I plan to build a little teardrop camper so that I can go anywhere at a moment's notice. I would like to start biking when the weather improves - but not to prove how far I can go - just for the sheer joy of it. I am looking forward to this second half of my life and would love to have someone to share the good and bad times with.I love to make my friends and family feel valued and I have the gift of encouragement. My home is open to everyone and I really enjoy entertaining. I enjoy beach music, Christian music, classical music, etc. I am a Christian and would like to meet a man who is the same. I have found that I can be as happy and contented sitting on my front porch swing with someone I love as I am on a cruise ship. It does not matter where I am if I have a companion with me.
